Gemini Taurus 3 Ring Saw Review with [ Complete Buying Guide ]

Gemini Taurus 3 Ring Saw Review with [ Complete Buying Guide ]

Gemini Taurus 3 ring saw is our best circular saw with stained glass, as well as our preferred option if you are not sure which type of saw blade you prefer. Like a ring saw, the saw blade cuts in all directions, perfect for small and complex workplaces. It has a powerful but quiet engine and has a number of additional features that make it a real pleasure to use.

This saw has a large enough cutting surface for even large pieces of work, and the fact that the saw separates from the bottom makes it even more versatile. The inserts on this saw are very precise and the saw blade (or thick saw blade) is very small (which is great for precise inserts). If you are just starting out, this tool is easy to learn and will help you improve your skills. Both advanced and advanced users find this very easy and difficult to manage jobs of all sizes.

Taurus 3 ring saw is a progressive piece. We believe that with the new-patented Taurus 3 circular saw, you will find the most important key to lowering your imagination and accelerating your path to creating new and wonderful shapes that you have never seen before. Taurus 3 has many new features that mostly our customers are satisfied. We think this tool is simple and fun to use.

The ring saw is a special tool and very different from any other tool. For this reason, people who have used band saws tend to take the material to the saw blade and turn the material to make a curved cut. Overall, a great tool that will not disappoint!

Buying Guide

There are many different types and prices when it comes to saw. What is the difference between these tools? Which one is better for stained glass? What constitutes a good value? The main characteristics that you should know are:

  • Saw Type: cutting Action type: ring, tape or wire.
  • Blade Material: the material the blade is made of.
  • Groove Height: The depth of cut.
  • Size – the reason for complaints and actions.
  • Cooling the method of keeping the bit cool.
  • Safety: features that protect an operator.
  • Accessories: complementary elements such as spare blades, drawers, pedals, etc.
  • Noise: the amount of noise is especially a wet saw.
  • Price: how much does the saw cost!

We are discussing each characteristic one by one.

Saw Type

There are three main types of saws, commonly used with the stained glass product. You must first decide according to your needs. However, here I am focusing on Gemini Taurus 3 ring saw.

  • Ring Saw

The ring with a very small diameter edge rotates at high speed through the Cut Glass. The rings are generally implemented in steel and are quite strong. With this type of Saw Blade Will Cut Any Direction, it can be used in several ways.

  • Band Saw

A band saw is made up and you get a nice flat blade with a hardened cutting surface. This type of Cut Blade in one direction and without that leading curve that extends for the Cut Curves. According to Wet Tape, it is most useful in the Straight Cut line, and can be uses its sewing as effectively as Wood and Tile.

  • Wire Saw

The cutting edge is similar to the cutting edge in many modes, but the main difference is that there is one innovative, which is the third when it moves and shapes the turning. Eat with Ring Saw, can cut in any direction, is a useful stretch and intricate curve of motivation. Wire saw blades are generally cheaper than others are.

Blade Material

Saw blades are made of various materials that affect their performance when cutting colored glass.

  • Diamond Blades

Diamonds are one of the hardest substances known to man. Industrial diamonds are commonly used in drills, saw blades and other high-friction surfaces to make them harder. Wet saws often use this material and it is ideal for use with glass for a smooth cut.

  • Steel blades

Steel blades are also common, especially in ring and wire saws. They are generally more brittle than diamond coated blades, but still cut well enough for our use.

Groove Height

The “Groove height” of the saw refers to the maximum height of an object that the saw can cut. For glass, it is important to choose a saw with a projection greater than the height of the glass.

Size

When choosing a saw, you should also take into account the dimensions of the device itself and the working area. The size of the device affects where you can save and use the tool. Choose the size that fits your space!

The second key factor is the size of the canvas (or table). If you are working on large pieces of glass, you will need space to place them. If you mainly make small parts, the extra table space may be in the way. Some units come with interchangeable tables of different sizes that can be adjusted to your needs if you do not always stick to one size.

Cooling

When working with high-friction processes such as cutting glass, it is important that the parts (both the saw and the work piece) are cool. Saws are so named because they use a fluid to cool the saw blade and the work piece. The method of applying the fluid varies from saw to saw, and care should be taken in choosing the one that suits you best.

Safety

As you can imagine, pushing glass fragments into saw blades at high speed can be a dangerous activity. While you should always wear glasses, hand protection, and clothing, some saws offer additional safety features.

Making stained glass windows with power tools can be a dangerous activity. We recommend that you consider the benefit of the safety device when choosing a saw.

Accessories

Most saws offer a variety of accessories that come with your purchase. One of the most important accessories to consider is blade replacement. Advanced blades can be expensive and understanding the characteristics of the blades you choose can be very important.

Noise

Different types of motors, the number of revolutions, and the power generated and the type of blade can affect the sound produced by the colored glass when cutting. Noise may or may not be a problem for you depending on your surroundings, but remember that. In general, we do not recommend that noise be the deciding factor in any purchase decision. Investing in a pair of earplugs is usually a good option if you have sensitive ears.

Price

After all, price is the key factor in deciding whether a particular saw is a good value for you and your specific needs. A good saw doesn’t come cheap, and understanding the trade-offs you make as the price goes up and down is key to finding good value for your money.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this saw come along with a Taurus 3-blade stabilizer?

Yes, it comes with a stabilizer

Can It Cut Through Zinc U?

It can cut zinc even if it contains glass! This is a great saw because I have not found any other saw that covers all the features. Therefore, it is perfect for all intermediaries and professionals

Is it easy to snap the cutting blade and break it while in use?

Why would you snap a cutting blade? I would say it depends on the quality of the blade you buy. They are usually diamond matte and not easy to break. The color cut color is very durable and not easy to bounce. It is a tool, but I have seen it in action. Going through the glass at an amazing rate has not failed. I break it as fast as it goes through the glass. Very impressive and the blades do not look delicate at all.

I want to cut solid pieces from the edges of old porcelain plates. Sounds like the right tool, but what kind of saw do you need for curved cuts?

This question depends on what you mean by solid numbers! If you want a ring saws, that is, without an introductory cut, the separating knife will work perfectly. If you have a reason and want to repeat it, I recommend a cutting blade. It is a forward and backward cutting blade with an extremely thin cut. It spins pennies, is durable, very fast, and actually has more complex capabilities than a round blade! The cut for the circular blade is 2 mm and the cut for the cutting blade is 1 mm. That is half the speed, but three times the speed.

Our Choice/ Conclusion

We have got you covered and comprehensive information on what a good stained glass saw does. We recommend the highest and best saws, which cover all the modern features. In the end, it is up to you to decide which (if any) stained glass is best for your use.

If you are not sure who to go with, or are not sure if you are looking for Ring KR, our first recommendation is Gemini Torres 3. It has a precise blade, cut in any direction, and has an impressive set. You have to buy any saw considering the features listed above. So that you do not have to go through any rather trouble later.

Remember, weigh your budget against the key performance specs we have outlined. Good luck, and make something amazing!
